Feathery Serpent shows a body defined by its contours and enveloped with peacock feathers. The lightbox animation unfolds as an atmospheric overnight sequence, dreamlike and somatic, concluding with dawn and daylight. The cycle is punctuated by a pulsing heartbeat.

The peacock feather, historically a symbol of immortality, renewal, and the all-seeing eye, becomes a kind of protective covering, an ornamental skin that both reveals and conceals the body beneath. The work emerged from a period of heightened personal experience, its imagery arriving more as a visitation than a deliberate composition.
