Concealed Person
"The Concealed Person" borrows its title from Susanna Clarke's 2020 novel Piranesi, a parable of isolation and fragile hope that resonated at the onset of COVID-19. In the artwork, a collapsed body has become the ground for a garden of daffodils, of the genus Narcissus, observed throughout New York City in the spring of 2025. Their appearance recalled the spring of 2021, when familiar flowers were seen as if for the first time.
