Overwing Exit
"Overwing Exit" depicts an emergency exit door offering a false promise of escape over the wing of a Boeing 737 MAX, a model now synonymous with catastrophic design and software failure. Once a symbol of U.S. industrial prowess, Boeing has come to represent negligence and preventable tragedy. Rushed retrofits and the concealed MCAS system compromised safety; faulty sensor readings on Lion Air 610 and Ethiopian 302 contributed to fatal crashes. The work renders this imbalance as flickering flames against a serene sky, a portal to safety turned into an emblem of fear and systemic opacity.
