Together Apart

Together Apart shows two figures in a shared state of collapse, attraction, repulsion, and perhaps embrace. The animation evokes a pulsation, like a heartbeat or emotional overwhelm, that feels disjointed at moments and synchronous at others.

The title was chosen after considering its reversal, Apart Together. Either phrasing outlines the qualities of living in a socially mediated world, where physical and emotional proximity have collapsed into a universally unstable state. The image evokes interpersonal instability while also suggesting intimacy, connection, and hope.
