Call Bell depicts the medical-grade button given to patients during ketamine infusion therapy, a device meant to summon staff if the experience becomes overwhelming. At once banal, uncanny and funny, it condenses the strangeness of the treatment into a symbol of summoning, conjuring, agency, and control. Within the framework of 'Let's All Abandon Reality Together', Call Bell becomes less of an escape and more of a threshold. To push the button is to signal that perhaps, this has all become too much.
